Chapter One: The Red Eyes of Fear

On Earth he was a simple, normal, bland penguin but on a far away planet called Truffle, he was the commander of a Titan's army...

  1. The penguin sat in his little penguin igloo on Earth when sudddenly a violent and icy wind blew. Something, someone was coming for him.

  2. Suddenly an Army shook the ground, and could be seen all over the horizon. The Titan Army's enemy was coming. They had one hour before they were to fight.

    ReplyDelete
  3. The army was led by a devil named Devin, he was vicious, the penguin had to escape.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Luckily, whenever the penguin was on Earth, he carried his twin cutlasses with him. If he could only fight through to get to his aircraft, he would be able to make it back to his other planet.

    ReplyDelete
  5. The plane though was at the right position so that when he got to his plane, the enemy army got there as well.

    ReplyDelete
  6. The penguin moved his flippers towards his cutlasses but he realized that they wouldn't do anything against this massive army so he pulled out a short wooden stick and flicked it once, it instantly turned into a magical staff.

    ReplyDelete
  7. He twirled the staff in his flippers and it made a swirl of colors. He chanted a little penguin chant and suddenly a shield held up against the army, holding them back from his plane.

    ReplyDelete
  8. The shield would not hold up forever though, he had bought himself some time, but it was still a mad dash to the plane, so he got a running start, and started running...er...waddling towards the plane at a fast pace.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Then slid onto his belly and... uh... skidded to the ship.

    ReplyDelete
  10. He then hopped in and soared away watching the army below dash towards their fleet of ships.

    ReplyDelete
  11. He was in space, watching the stars go by in his space craft. He was good, but not out of the woods yet, a flock of unicorn butterflies was after his ship! :)_)

    ReplyDelete
  12. He quickly took a U-turn, knowing there was only one way that they would not follow him to his planet Truffle... SPLAT! They all smashed into the windshield.

    ReplyDelete
  13. and he traveled peacefully until he entered the atmosphere of truffle

    ReplyDelete
  14. truffle had a thick atmosphere, so it was always a challenge to get the right angle and speed to enter. The ship would have taken it, but there was a small crack at the windshield from a unicorn horn hitting it.

    ReplyDelete
  15. The windshield shattered and the penguin fell towards the ground.

    ReplyDelete
  16. After unbuckling, he realized he was going to fall through a storm. He quickly deployed his parachute, and glided over the storm

    ReplyDelete
  17. As he floated to the ground he saw the Titan's camp and sighed in relief, he was home.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Henwas so happy that he was celebrrating and ran into a flock of geese. After surviving the onslaught of geese, he landed inthe camps. He then noticed something was wrong

    ReplyDelete
  19. It wasn't his camp!!! This camp was run by one of Devin's most vicious followers, Donovon.

  20. When General Byrd the penguin was captured by von and his troops, he was tortured fiercely to give information about the rest of the trufilian troops. But Byrd knew that he would live anyway, he never told anything. And while in prisom, he heals fast.

  21. From Max- They took his staff but his cutlasses were hidden well he just needed to get out of the chains.

    ReplyDelete
  22. He summoned his penguin power, and called the gods to break the chains. After breaking the chains, he is extremely tired, but knew the enemy would know, he requested more power from the gods and broke through the wall. Right into the armory.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Inside were several weapons but most importantly, his staff. He grabbed that along with a bowgun and several packs of exploding darts. He had been away from Truffle for almost a decade and he had to remember how everything worked. He examined the bowgun it was about twice the size of an Earth handgun and worked almost the same way. However, it had one exception it shot darts instead of bullets. He loaded a clip of exploding darts. They were Byrd's favorite because they were extremely lethal since they exploded on impact.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Because he wasn't really familiar with the weapons, he made his way to the shooting arena. After he felt comfortable with the weapons, he moved back to the armory, and reloaded and restocked. Before leaving the armory, he made sure to destroy all of it's contents. While leaving the burning building, in the dead of night, he felt the presence of another, behind him.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Every time he turned around to look the presence disappeared. No matter where he turned or how fast he went, Byrd felt the presence behind him. He pulled out his staff and flicked it to make it into its full size. He spun around swiftly and shot a death curse at his invisible stalker. The blackd death curse traveled a few feet, momentarily erasing light as it moved. Suddenly, the curse was gone and all light was restored. "Byrd is that you?" Byrd was startled the invisible person knew his name. Byrd turned around to start walking and there, in front of the general of the Titan's army, stood Titanis, The Titan. "Hello," The Titan said nonchalantly as if he saw Byrd only yesterday.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Titanis had actually been imprisoned by the enemy and had heard Byrd speaking in his native tongue. He was just about to give up hope. And he heard Byrd, then when Byrd had broken the chains, he also broke the chains in Titanis' cell as well.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Of course, Byrd didn't break Titanis's chains on purpose but he was certainly happy he did.

"Isn't this where our camp was?" Byrd asked the Titan, nervous because his family was in the camp.

"It was," Titanis said a deathly frown on his face, "Donovon's army raided it! I stayed back with a few of our best so the others could escape."

"My wife?" Byrd asked, "My kids?"

Titanis's look said it all Byrd fell down not able to accept this grave news.

"Your kids escaped, I wish I could say the same for your wife, but she stayed back to help us fight."

"Are there others left back in Donovon's camp?" Byrd asked.

"Only a few," Titanis said with a voice as if he was remembering a painful memory.

"We have to go back!" Byrd almost shouted knowing that the more people they had the better hope of saving The Titan.

Titanis didn't speak but he turned around headed back for the camp. Byrd quickly followed.

  28. Byrd then remembered that in his haste, he had burned down the armory, and in turn, burned the prison he was being held in. When he started to yell to tritanis about it when he heard a loud crash next to him. Everything went white, he couldn't hear, couldn't breath. The next thing he knew, he was laying on the ground, under a bright, bright light.

    ReplyDelete
  29. "You were stealing the Titan you scum," A voice from above stated solemnly.

It took a while for Byrd to realize what was going on but when he did he instantly sat up. A searing pain went through his head but he didn't care.

    "Who are you," Byrd asked.

"My name is Calif. I am lead communication operator for The Titan himself." Calif said proudly a smug look on his face.

Byrd breathed a sigh of relief, he was in The Titan's camp.

Byrd chuckled and then said, "I am General Byrd, leader of the Titan's army. Didn't the Titan tell you this?"

"The Titan is knocked out. Alive but he won't be up for a while." Calif said while placing his ganocom in his ear.

"I would like to talk to General Byrd's children," the officer said as if talking to himself.

"One moment please," the ganocom said into Calif's ear.

"Hello," Calif heard Byrd's oldest child speak into the ganocom.

"Ramift, could you come to the medical wing of the prison block?" Calif asked Byrd's son, Ramift.

"Be right there," Ramift said and the Ganocom went dead.

"Your son will be here shortly. If he recognizes you, you will be set free," Calif said to Byrd.

    ReplyDelete
  30. While he waited, he asked calif what had happened. Calif explained how they gained their forces and attacked the camp. They had bombarded it with mortars, yet, somehow, both of their heroes are alive. When his son arrived, Byrd was so happy to see him, however, because Byrd had been away for the length he was away, his son had no idea who he was.

    ReplyDelete
  31. "Ramift, how can you not remember me? I am your father!" Ramift said, unbelieving tears streaming from his eyes.

The Titan walked into the room.

"Calif, how could you not recognize general Byrd?" Titans asked, a wide grin on his face.

    ReplyDelete
  32. His wide grin scared Byrd, Ramift, and Calif. Calif shrugged it off and let the three leave.

    ReplyDelete
  33. "I am so sorry dad," Ramift weaped, "It's just been so long I didn't recognize you. I didn't know you were even still alive. I'm sorry."

"It's ok son," Byrd said in an annoyed but forgiving voice. "It has been quite some time."

    ReplyDelete
  34. When they walked outside, there was a roar of applause and cheers for their returning hero, Titanis.

    (6 pages! good job everyone!)

    ReplyDelete
  35. Max u can deletw this but holy crap! it's like a soap opera or a novel

    ReplyDelete
  36. Titanis yelled out to the crowd, "Thank you, thank you. But I should be applauding you. In my absence, you have grown stronger than ever since Devin's ruthless take over. You have proven that we can bring down this demon and restore Truffle to its former glory!"

    ReplyDelete
  37. oh and thanks sam i know we are gonna make it a lot longer tho :)

  38. Just then, the horizen grew dark all around. The clouds above grew gloomy, the wind picked up.

    ReplyDelete
  39. "Take cover!" Ramift shouted, "Douse the fires, a dark dragon is coming!"
The people scattered, throwing water on flames and disappearing into bushes and trees.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Dark dragons are legendary creatures known for their destruction. They come, covering their tracks in dark shadows, swallowing the land in darkness. Very few have lived through the deadly destruction of these dragons; if they had, the survivor would be forever paralized and tramatized.

    ReplyDelete
  41. They were like the death curse, everywhere they went light was extinguished and everything they touched died.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Nothing could kill them, nothing could hurt them in the slightest. The dark dragons were the most hurrid creatures in the universe and couldn't be destroyed.

    ReplyDelete
  43. The Titanians cringed as the the dragons tail grazed a tree and the tree collapsed. Every second that creature of pure evil and death moved closer to them and they knew that this could be the end. Not only the end of their lives but of all hope the Devin would ever be defeated. As the treacherous creature drew nearer more of the Titanians, the strongest willed enemies of Devin, began to accept the bitter fact that their lovely planet would be ruled forever by a demon. Some were planning an escape to the far reaches of the galaxy. Every single creature in that camp from penguins to caterpillars was taught that the only thing that they should fear is fear itself and now fear in the form of a dragon was flying towards them. The dragon breathed what was assumed to be fire but it was black. Not the color black but a light eating murderous shade of evil, death, and destruction. The Titan made a decision he flicked his staff twice and everyone in the camp was instantly knocked out. Titanis stood there amazed because to do this to a mass of people this large, it would mean that most of them would have to go willingly. He thought he trained them better to never give in to curses that put them in a situation where they couldn't fight back. Titanis realized that the Titanians had come a long way but that they couldn't even make a dent in Devin's castle's wall let alone kill Devin and reclaim the throne of Truffle. The dragon landed at the place where the camp used to be. The creature was breathing heavily it was entirely black, the light destroying type of black, except for its eyes which were a piercing red. They were almost impossible to look at, even from a distance. The Titan couldn't look anymore he decided to let fate decide his life. He looked, for the first time, away from his enemy. He stood there looking deep into the forest for what seemed like eternity. Was the dragon still there? Was it safe now? Could he keep his clan asleep much longer? Curiosity was eating him up. He turned to face the camp. The dragon was still there but it looked like it was melting. It was melting. It became a light killing puddle in the camp. Titanis was relieved. The puddle moved. It took a new shape. A shape that was worse than the dragon. A shape that was worse than fear, worse than death. The puddle was now a demon, Devin the demon. Truffle was led by this thing this evil. Devin stood there looking at The Titan with the same piercing red eyes as the dragon. Devin was around a startling eight feet tall. He was thin but incredibly strong. He held a pure black light eating staff in his right hand. Titanis gaped at how perfectly shaped and smooth the staff was. It was so incredible, Devin had mastered the magical element of death. Titanis could see how this thing had taken control of Truffle. It was a killing machine; not a human. No creature was like this. Could this thing. This form of death even be real. Titanis couldn't accept it. He looked away for a second and then looked back. Death was gone.
