Byrd

Should Byrd die? Why or why not?

  1. I think Byrd should die at the end because this is a battle between two sides there will be casualties and Byrd is designed as a likeable character but he isn't necessary.

  2. I think he should.
Or atleast become a villain, or something.

  3. No way is Byrd becoming a villain! but that is a good idea someone should switch sides.

  4. I think that one dude... something with a C... should become a villian. He didn't recognize Byrd in the first place, maybe he was a double-agent the whole time. Caffle, the Titan's little assistant guy. (I think I got the name right, I didn't check the blog to see the name)

And if Byrd dies, he should die fighting. Caffle could kill him and escape or something.

  6. Ok... so, one of my favorite trilogies is "The Chanters of Tremaris Trilogy" and my favorite character died in the end, fighting of course! So, I have to post part of the story as inspiration (at least to me). Max, if you want to delete this post, that is fine. I just love this book, lol.
It's the last book in the trilogy, "The Tenth Power" This trilogy is amazing and if you ever plan on reading it, don't read this 'cause it is a spoiler! Well, you could and still read the books but the ending won't be a surprise.

  7. What's happening: There is a war going on, all out war. (There is magic in this so don't freak out when I say that someone freezes time.) It is between elements, in this world there are elements such as ice, air, etc. The main character, Calwyn, discovers that she has more than one power. She has all ten. The war going on is between her homeland and outsiders. All her friends have joined in the war (Mica - air, Trout - none that I can remember, Tonno - he's just super cool, and Darrow - I don't remember what his is but he's seriously sick and dying. oh, and her long lost brother Halasaa)
Well, Calwyn comes into the war after defeating the original villian. She comes and does something she has never tried before, freeze everyone - other things, like arrows and weapons, still go off but the people are still. In the mean time, her other friends are fighting with her homeland 'family'.
After she unfreezes everyone... (Note: The last exchange between Calwyn and Halasaa is completely silent, they can communicate telepathically so neither Trout nor Tonno hear them.)

'But as she gathered her breath to resume her chantment, she heard a faint voice calling from below.
Trout? Calwyn glanced swiftly at Halasaa, then she sang. The sled leapt from the treetop and swooped to the ground... Trout, gulping for a breath, with pale tear-tracks on his dirty face, and Tonno, kneeling with his back to them.
'Trout, you're hurt! Keep still, Halasaa and I can take the arrow out --'
But Trout pushed her furiously away. 'Not me, not me! Mica!'
Mica was cradeled in Tonno's lap. Halasaa and Calwyn flung themselves down by her side.
Trout's words jerked out, faster and faster. 'She couldn't - the spell came and she fell and the spear was coming, we saw it coming, we saw it, but we couldn't move, she couldn't get out of the way-' Trout sobbed for breath. 'But she'll be alright, won't she, won't she, Halasaa, she'll be alright, you'll heal her...' The last words were almost a scream.
The spear shaft stood upright in Mica's chest, like a sapling reaching for the sun. Her eyes were open, her lips parted in surprise. Halasaa pressed his hands flat on either side of the wound, his palms sticky with her blood.
    Calwyn saught his eyes.
'Yes, I know.' Halasaa looked at her steadily. 'She has gone...'
The knelt under the trees, anchoring her beneath their hands, until Trout's frantic words dissolved into sobs and Tonno covered his face..."
